The Commodore Hotel is a family owned luxury hotel based in Christchurch. An iconic institution, the hotel wanted to reinvigorate its digital presence in order to generate greater online bookings. To launch the new website effectively, the campaign also included a digital marketing drive aimed at engaging both corporate and leisure customers.
The objective was to reinvigorate the existing outdated website making it more contemporary and user friendly, especially for mobile devices. The new site was launched on the back of the Ultimate Winter Getaway campaign designed to bolster bookings during the quiet winter season. The interactive campaign included a campaign site build and ran across the Commodore’s social media pages, where users won prizes by answering the weekly questions and sharing the company’s page with their followers.
The new website launched with a noticeable increase in bookings over the Winter season. This was bolstered by the Ultimate Winter Getaway campaign, which was a massive success with 292,000 user impressions and over 2,000 competition entries.
